The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, in co-operation with the Environmental Security Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), carried out an inspection campaign in Industrial Area 57 as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen environmental oversight and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and regulations.
The campaign, carried out by the ministry’s Environmental Monitoring and Inspection Department, covered 120 facilities, where the inspectors conducted field visits to verify compliance with environmental standards and requirements and took the necessary legal action against violators in accordance with applicable legislation.
The ministry said the inspections form part of its continuous regulatory plans aimed at enhancing environmental compliance, reducing violations, and raising awareness among facilities of their environmental responsibilities. It stressed that the initiative supports efforts to protect the environment, preserve natural resources, and advance Qatar’s sustainable development objectives.
