Visit Qatar returns for its second edition as the presenting partner of the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar 2026, taking place from July 28 to August 1 in West Sussex, United Kingdom.
Visit Qatar’s partnership with one of the most prestigious fixtures in the British flat racing calendar continues to build on the strong foundations laid in 2025, reflecting Qatar’s sustained commitment to international sport and its long-standing relationship with Goodwood Racecourse.
In a landmark announcement for 2026, Visit Qatar has confirmed a significant increase to the prize money of the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes, making it the most valuable one-mile flat race in Europe, a moment set to bring a new level of prestige to the festival and further solidify Visit Qatar’s premium positioning in international horse racing.
The festival remains renowned for attracting world-class horses and jockeys, alongside equestrian and fashion enthusiasts from around the world, drawing racegoers and passionate racing fans seeking a premium viewing experience.
Visit Qatar holds exclusive naming and ownership rights to six races across the week, including the Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup (July 28), the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes and the Qatar International Stakes (July 29), the Qatar Nassau Stakes (July 30), the King George Qatar Stakes (July 31), and the Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes on the closing day (August 1).
Visit Qatar branding will be displayed across key areas of the festival, including the Richmond Enclosure, reinforcing the brand’s presence throughout the event. A Visit Qatar Pavilion will once again feature in the Richmond Enclosure, showcasing authentic Qatari culture through immersive experiences. Guests will also have the opportunity to taste Qatari cuisine at a culinary pop-up by Qatari chef Salman al-Jaidah. And dedicated Visit Qatar Lounge will provide a platform for engagement with international partners and tourism industry stakeholders.
The sponsorship aligns with Visit Qatar’s broader strategy to raise brand visibility in key international markets, strengthen ties with global tourism and sports stakeholders, and position Qatar as a premium destination offering something for every traveller.
