Al Jazeera Media Institute (AJMI)and the UK’s Aston University announced the opening of registration for a master’s programme in Digital Media and Communication.
The programme is designed under the strategic partnership between the two institutions, as an advanced and innovative academic pathway aimed at preparing a new generation of professionals capable of leading transformations that shape media and communication sectors in the digital age.
Delivered entirely online, the programme will commence next September and run for 12 months. It combines Aston University’s advanced academic heritage with the practical professional expertise that distinguishes Al Jazeera Media Institute. It offers a multidisciplinary learning experience that blends critical thinking with professional practice, focusing on digital media, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and strategic communication in line with the rapidly evolving global media landscape.
Participants will explore how digital platforms, data, automation, and AI are reshaping communication and media ecosystems, in addition to developing hands-on skills in digital storytelling, data journalism, media research, and leadership.
Supported by the latest academic research and industry practices, the programme equips learners with competencies demanded by today’s job market, including data analysis, AI tools application, and production of impactful digital content, in addition to understanding technological shifts driving the media future.
