Polish President Karol Nawrocki has extended his deepest condolences to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on the passing of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, paying tribute to him as an outstanding statesman and visionary who played a pivotal role in shaping modern Qatar and strengthening the country’s standing on the global stage.

In a message addressed to His Highness the Amir, the Polish president highlighted HH the late Father Amir’s enduring contributions to Qatar’s economic and social transformation, as well as his commitment to dialogue, peace, stability and development.

Sheikh Hamad will be remembered as an outstanding statesman, a visionary, and one of the principal architects of modern Qatar. He will go down in history as a leader who played a pivotal role in building the country’s prosperity and strengthening its position on the international stage. He was also a steadfast advocate of dialogue and mediation and one of the most influential figures in the Arab world.

During his reign, the State of Qatar underwent a profound economic and social transformation, becoming one of the world’s leading exporters of liquefied natural gas and a major global investor. The ambitious development projects implemented under his leadership contributed significantly to the country’s prosperity and to improving the quality of life of its people.

As Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani demonstrated remarkable foresight, unwavering commitment to the achievement of strategic objectives, and a deep sense of responsibility for the future of the country and the well-being of its citizens. In all his endeavours, he was guided by a commitment to peace, stability, and development.
