The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has expanded access to physiotherapy services across Qatar, offering treatment at 15 health centres through a specialised team of around 69 physiotherapists, in a move aimed at bringing care closer to patients.
In a statement yesterday, PHCC said the distribution of services has been aligned with population needs across the northern, central and western regions. Patients referred from centres without physiotherapy clinics are redirected within the same region or scheduled for the earliest available appointment, in accordance with approved procedures. Head of Physiotherapy Services at PHCC, Dr Thajba Mubarak al-Bader, said clinics operate throughout the week with both morning and evening shifts depending on each centre’s schedule, enhancing accessibility and flexibility for patients. Services are also available on Saturdays. Saturday clinics run from 7am to 2pm at Abu Bakr Al Siddiq, Gharafat Al Rayyan, Leabaib, Muaither and Rawdat Al Khail health centres. Separate facilities are provided for male and female patients to ensure ease of access and continuity of care.
