Malaysia has extended its deepest condolences to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the members of the royal family, and the people of Qatar on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. “On behalf of the Embassy of Malaysia and the Malaysian community in Qatar, I wish to extend my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies,” Ambassador Faizal Razali said Sunday. His Highness the Father Amir was “a visionary statesman of monumental stature,” whose transformative leadership elevated the State of Qatar into a nation of global significance, the ambassador stressed.According to Razali, HH the Father Amir has modernised the country and championed peace, as well as progress on the international stage, “throughout his historic reign.”“His profound contributions to his country’s development, regional stability, and the welfare of the wider Islamic world constitute an enduring legacy that will be remembered by generations to come,” the ambassador pointed out.Razali said Malaysia holds the memory of HH the Father Amir “in the highest esteem,” remembering him not only as a steadfast leader but also as a deeply respected voice of wisdom across the Islamic world. “His monumental achievements have laid the foundational pillars of the close, fraternal, and enduring ties that unite our two brotherly nations today,” he stated.The ambassador added: “In this hour of immense national grief, the government and the people of Malaysia stand in complete solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Qatar. We pray that Allah the Almighty showers the soul of the late Father Amir with His boundless mercy and grants him the highest station in Jannatul Firdaus. “May Allah SWT also grant HH the Amir, the honourable members of the al-Thani family, and the Qatari people patience, strength, and solace during this difficult time.”
