Qatar, represented by the National Cyber Security Agency, has won the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2026 Award for the second consecutive year in the ALC5 – Building Confidence and Security in the Use of Information and Communication Technologies category.
The award was received by National Cyber Security Agency Director-General Ahmed Mohammed al-Mutawa al-Hammadi during the official ceremony in Geneva.
The achievement followed a competitive selection process involving hundreds of projects from countries around the world.
The nominated projects underwent a comprehensive evaluation, including public voting, expert assessment, and review by specialised committees, before the National Cybersecurity Training Programme was selected as the winning project.
The programme was recognised for its significant contribution to achieving the objectives of the WSIS and supporting the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
