At least 40 people were killed and 11 others injured when a passenger bus veered off the road and plunged into a ravine in southwest Pakistan.Local authorities reported that the bus was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar when it went off the road and plunged into a deep ravine in the mountainous Dana Sar region. The death toll is still preliminary.Balochistan Government Spokesman Shahid Rand said that emergency teams rushed to the scene to begin rescue operations and recover the victims.
