The Qatar Society of Engineers - in cooperation with the Qatar Scientific Club, organized a smart facilities management forum on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in developing operation and maintenance.
The forum addressed several important themes related to the future of facilities management, most notably the transaction from traditional maintenance to predictive maintenance, the use of AI technologies in asset and facility management, improving operational efficiency and reducing breakdowns, in addition to the future of smart facility management in modern institutions.
Presented by Secretary-General and Board Member of the Qatar Society of Engineers, Eng. Saud Abdullah Al Dulaimi, the speakers of the Forum's discussion session addressed the importance of digital transformation in developing this sector, and the role of modern technologies in raising performance efficiency and enhancing the sustainability of facilities, with the participation of a select group of specialists and experts in the fields of facilities management, AI, operation and maintenance.
On this occasion, Chairperson of the Qatar Society of Engineers, Eng. Amna Mohammed Al Naama, affirmed that the remarkable success achieved by the forum reflects the importance of the topic presented and its direct connection to the future of the engineering and the service sector, noting that the wide attendance and distinguished interaction of the participants represent an incentive to continue organizing quality events that keep pace with modern technological developments.
She also expressed the Society's keenness to strengthen institutional partnerships that contribute to spreading engineering knowledge and opening the door for engineers and specialists to exchange experiences and discuss future solutions.
Eng.
