More than 140 students from Doha British School’s Ain Khaled, Rawdat Al Hamama and Al Wakrah campuses celebrated their graduation during a prestigious ceremony held at the Al Wosail Ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton Doha.
The event welcomed over 400 guests, including parents, educators, school leaders and distinguished guests, to honour students from Year 12 and Year 13 who successfully completed internationally recognised programmes, including the International Baccalaureate (IB), AS Levels and A Levels.
The ceremony featured a keynote address by Hugh Hegarty, executive director of Education, who congratulated the Class of 2026 on reaching this important milestone: “Graduation marks the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and personal growth,” said Hegarty. “The Class of 2026 has demonstrated resilience, ambition and a commitment to excellence. We are proud of their achievements and excited to see the positive impact they will make in the future.”
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Principal Awards, with one outstanding student from each campus recognised for exceptional achievement, leadership and contribution to school life.
“The achievements we celebrate today reflect not only academic success but also the character, values and confidence our students have developed throughout their time at Doha British School,” said Robnawaz Khan, principal of DBS Rawdat Al Hamama. “We are confident they will continue to excel as they take their next steps.”
Reflecting on their shared journey across the three campuses, the graduating class celebrated the experiences, friendships and achievements that shaped their time at Doha British School: “Today is a celebration of everything we have achieved together. Our time at Doha British School has provided us with invaluable experiences, lasting friendships and the confidence to pursue our ambitions as we embark on the next chapter of our lives.”
Many graduates are now preparing to attend leading universities worldwide in fields including Medicine, Engineering, Business and the Arts, while others will continue their studies at City University Qatar (CUQ) in Lusail, a dynamic DBS affiliate offering UK degrees in a state-of-the-art campus.
