Qatar celebrated Eid al-Adha with religious devotion and festive spirit as worshippers gathered at mosques and prayer grounds across the country for special Eid prayers yesterday morning.
Families and friends came together to mark the occasion with traditional feasts, charitable acts, and social gatherings, reflecting the values of unity, generosity, and compassion associated with the festival.
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) had prepared 733 mosques and open-air prayer grounds nationwide to accommodate worshippers, with Eid prayers beginning at 5am. Across Qatar, the festive atmosphere was unmistakable with shopping malls, public venues, and cultural destinations hosting family-friendly activities and entertainment programmes planned for the holidays.
Residents also shared Eid greetings and messages of togetherness across social media platforms.
