As part of its dedicated coverage of major Arab and international film festivals, “Cinema Cinema”, the flagship cinema programme on Alaraby 2, aired a special episode from the Annaba Mediterranean Film Festival in Algeria. The screening delivers a comprehensive report that captures the spirit of the event and highlights its most prominent cinematic moments.
The episode reflects the programme’s and the channel’s ongoing commitment to covering key cinematic events worldwide while spotlighting leading creative voices and emerging talents.
Broadcast on location from the festival, presenter Amine Ben Hamza conducted a series of exclusive interviews with prominent filmmakers and industry figures. Among the highlights was a conversation with internationally acclaimed director Bille August, alongside several filmmakers participating in this year’s edition, which added a strong critical and artistic dimension to the episode and reinforced the program’s focus on thoughtful, in-depth coverage.
“Cinema Cinema” producer Imadeddine Boudjenah said: “This coverage from the Annaba Festival reflects the programme’s vision of serving as a bridge connecting Arab audiences with the latest developments in the art of cinema.
“Through this episode, we aimed to go beyond headline coverage and offer viewers an authentic picture of the dynamic cinematic movement taking shape across the Arab region.”
