On the occasion of The Gulf Week for Occupational Health and Safety, held annually from April 26-30, the Ministry of Public of Public Health (MoPH) has shared some advice for a safe journey for the taxi drivers working with the smart transport apps.
The MoPH stressed that speeding should be avoided and the drivers have to abide by the applicable rules, regulations and systems. The vehicle should be always clean, and smoking should not be allowed inside the vehicles.
Drivers should also abide by the safety rules of seating and arranging cargo inside the car. Further, drivers should not stop their vehicles in undesignated or unsafe areas even if they were requested for so by the customers.
