The Ministry of Public Health has stressed that it has been continuing its controls to ensure the safety of food products, as it is accelerating the frequency of food inspections to maintain a safe food supply.
In particular, the targeted products include meat and poultry, dairy products, fish and seafood, and perishable goods among others.
The mechanism used to achieve this involves identifying and accelerating inspection procedures at entry points and local market. Besides, the sampling and laboratory testing are considerably increased, while the efforts of monitoring transport, storage and refrigeration conditions are constantly going on.
