HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi met in Doha with Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Republic of India, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with the impact of the regional conflict on the global energy industry and ways to ensure the security of energy supplies.
HE Minister Al Kaabi reaffirmed the State of Qatar's commitment to remaining a reliable energy supplier and expressed his aspiration to further strengthen energy relations and cooperation with India.
Both ministers welcomed the two-week ceasefire agreed on April 8, emphasizing the urgent need to end disruptions to global energy supplies and restore normal market conditions.
In this context, they underscored the importance of ensuring unimpeded freedom of navigation and the uninterrupted flow of global trade to safeguard supply chains.
