The Ministry of Interior has called on motorists across Qatar to reduce speed in residential neighbourhoods and around educational institutions, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety.
In a public notice posted on social media on April 7, the ministry stressed the importance of maintaining a safe traffic environment, particularly in areas with higher pedestrian movement, including school zones. The advisory forms part of broader efforts to reduce traffic accidents.
The MoI highlighted that adherence to speed limits in these areas plays a critical role in preventing accidents, protecting students, and safeguarding residents. Drivers were urged to remain vigilant, exercise caution, and comply with traffic regulations at all times.
