His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held talks Tuesday with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, focusing on latest regional and international developments and efforts to restore stability.
The two leaders discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the region, including ongoing tensions linked to Iranian attacks and their wider security implications as well as the impact of recent events on global energy supplies and market stability.
His Highness the Amir emphasised the importance of prioritising diplomatic solutions to resolve conflicts, highlighting the need for strengthened cooperation to safeguard regional security and limit the global repercussions of ongoing crises.
The talks also covered bilateral relations between Qatar and the UAE, with both sides stressing the importance of continued coordination and consultation across key issues, reflecting the strong fraternal ties and strategic partnership between the two nations.
The meeting was attended on the Qatari side by Personal Representative of His Highness the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani; His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani; and His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan, Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi; along with a number of senior officials.
On the Emirati side, attendees included Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan; Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan; and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan; along with a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
HH the Amir had arrived earlier Tuesday in Abu Dhabi and was welcomed by the UAE president alongside vice-president, deputy prime minister, and chairman of the Presidential Court; deputy ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security adviser; and deputy chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs along with a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Amir departed from the capital Abu Dhabi and was seen off by the UAE president alongside vice-president, deputy prime minister, and chairman of the Presidential Court; deputy ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security adviser; and deputy chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs along with a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
His Highness the Amir and his accompanying delegation returned home later Tuesday.
