Israeli warplanes launched a series of intense airstrikes at Saturday dawn targeting several towns in southern and eastern Lebanon, resulting in deaths, injuries, and widespread destruction of homes and property. A displaced family from the city of Baalbek had taken refuge in the house. The attack completely destroyed the building and killed all members of the family: the father, mother, and their four children.In the south, Israeli warplanes committed a massacre in the town of Jebchit. An airstrike at dawn today targeted a house, killing six people, including four members of the same family, after completely destroying the building.Later that morning, Israeli warplanes launched a second, more intense attack targeting the town square. This caused widespread destruction, drastically altering the landscape. Dozens of shops, restaurants, and butcher shops were destroyed, along with the municipality building, several apartments, and a number of cars.Israeli aircraft also carried out two airstrikes on the towns of Shahour and Tayr Dibba in the Tyre district. No further information is yet available regarding the extent of the damage or casualties.Rescue and civil defense teams are continuing their operations in the targeted areas to remove rubble and transport the wounded. The death toll is expected to rise as the search continues.
