The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy in Kuwait announced Wednesday the finalization of repairs to several electric energy transportation lines that had been affected due to falling debris.
The repair of the most affected overhead power lines had been accomplished, with five of nine lines being recommissioned based on the highest approved technical standards, as well as safety and security measures, after they were subject to technical inspection and assessment, said spokesperson of the Ministry, Eng. Fatima Jawhar Hayat.
Hayat added that the move is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to safeguard the stability of the electrical system and ensure the continuity of electric power.
All repair and security operations had been efficiently accomplished in accordance with the seconded contingency plan, with onsite and essential technical inspections underway to verify the safety of the electric grid components, reinforce their readiness, and upscale the reliability level across the regions, Hayat clarified.
She asserted that the electric system is stable and operates efficiently, stressing that the ministry is moving ahead with its full commitments to continue the work according to the highest quality and safety standards to protect energy sustainability and security in the country.
