The Government Communications Office (GCO) has launched its official WhatsApp channel to strengthen direct communication with the public and provide faster access to verified government news and updates.
According to the GCO, the channel will serve as an official and verified platform for disseminating government communications issued by entities across the country. The initiative is designed to make it easier for residents and citizens to access timely, accurate information from official sources.
Through the new channel, the GCO will share approved official statements, urgent updates, clarifications on circulating information, and direct links to relevant authorities. The platform is expected to help the public quickly access reliable updates and reduce the spread of misinformation.
The GCO stressed that Qatar is closely monitoring ongoing developments, noting that the security and safety of everyone in the country remain a top priority. It added that relevant authorities continue to carry out their duties efficiently and in full coordination.
In light of regional developments, government entities are continuing their efforts to ensure public safety and the uninterrupted delivery of services. Authorities have also emphasised the importance of following official instructions and obtaining information only from approved and credible sources.
