The Primary Health Care Corporation has announced modified operations across its network of health facilities for National Sport Day, which falls today.

 

Of the corporation’s 31 health centres nationwide, 21 will remain operational throughout the holiday to ensure continued access to medical services for residents.

 

The following facilities will provide family medicine and support services with extended hours from 7am-11pm: Al Wakrah, Al Mashaf, Al Thumama, Al Matar (Airport), Rawdat Al Khail, Omar Bin Al Khattab, Al Sadd, West Bay, Al Ruwais, Al Khor, Al Laqib, Umm Salal, Al Gharafa (Al Rayyan), Madinat Khalifa, Abu Bakr Al Siddiq, Al Rayyan, Mesaimeer, Muaither, Al Shahaniya, and Al Wajba.

 

Dental services at these centres will be available from 7am-10pm. Additionally, Al Jumailiya Health Center will maintain 24-hour on-call availability.

 

Several facilities will be closed during the holiday: South Wakra, Umm Ghuwailina, Al Waab, Abu Nakhla, Umm Al Seneem, Al Ghuwayriyah, Al Daayen, and Qatar University Health Centres. However, Al Kaaban and Al Karaana Health Centres will remain accessible for adult emergency cases.

 

For urgent care needs, 13 health centres will provide around-the-clock emergency services: Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Rawdat Al Khail, Al Kaaban, Al Karaana, Al Ruwais, Umm Slal, Leabaib, Muaither, Al Mashaf, Al Sadd, and Al Wajbah.

 

Parents should note that seven facilities will handle pediatric emergencies: Al Ruwais, Umm Slal, Leabaib, Muaither, Al Mashaf, Al Sadd, and Al Wajbah.

 

Specialty clinics will operate according to previously scheduled appointments during both morning and evening sessions. Eye care, dermatology, and ear, nose, and throat services will be available at Leabaib and Rawdat Al Khail Health Centers from 7am-2pm, with evening hours from 4pm-10pm.

 

For premarital medical screenings, Leabaib Health Center will offer services from 7am-2pm, while Al Mashaf Health Center will provide the same service during evening hours from 4pm-10pm.

 

Residents can also access medical consultation services by calling the Community Call Center at 16000, which operates 24 hours daily.

 

Regarding the delivery of medicines, the corporation will suspend this service today and resume operations tomorrow.
