The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the call reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and Iran and explored ways to support and further strengthen cooperation across various fields. The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, along with a number of issues of mutual interest.
During the call, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman reaffirmed Qatar’s firm support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting peaceful solutions, stressing the importance of dialogue in enhancing security and stability across the region.
The conversation comes as part of Qatar’s ongoing diplomatic engagement with regional partners to encourage de-escalation and support political and diplomatic approaches to regional challenges.
