The Ministry of Education and Higher Education is preparing to open the 39th International Conference on School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI 2026), which will be held from January 18-22, 2026, at Qatar University, with the participation of more than 500 educational leaders, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners from around the world.
The conference is one of the most prominent international forums specializing in the development of education and the improvement of the performance of schools and educational systems, as it provides a global platform for exchanging experiences and discussing contemporary educational issues.
This year’s conference is being held under the theme “Cross Boundaries in Education: Promoting Innovative, Inclusive and Sustainable Learning Environments.”
Qatar’s hosting of this conference confirms its advanced position in the field of education and its commitment to investing in education as a fundamental pillar of human development, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The conference is being held in partnership with Qatar University, the College of Public Policy at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and the Arab Center for Educational Training for the Gulf States. It includes a diverse scientific program that includes scientific sessions, advanced specialized sessions, as well as field visits to a number of schools within the local educational system.
