Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched on Sunday its first training course for 2026, entitled 'Foundation Program for New Employees,' as part of its training programs aimed at developing the skills of Qatari personnel and raising their efficiency in the fields of media and institutional work.
The selection of this course reflects QNA's keenness to promote the integration of new staff into the work environment and to enable them to perform their tasks efficiently from day one.
The program aims to familiarize employees with QNA's mission, vision and core values, ensuring their alignment with the agency’s culture and strategic objectives.
The program includes a detailed presentation of the organizational structure at QNA, along with a comprehensive explanation of the functions of various departments and sections and their role in achieving the general objectives, as well as an introduction to the adopted internal procedures and policies.
It also focuses on enhancing communication and integration between departments, which contributes to raising the level of internal coordination and improving institutional performance.
The program includes interactive sessions aimed at exchanging knowledge and building effective communication channels between employees, which enhances institutional belonging and raises the level of productivity within the work environment.
HE Director-General of QNA Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi affirmed that the program comes within the agency’s vision aimed at investing in human resources and preparing them for effective integration into the institutional work environment.
His Excellency said that the program aims to introduce new employees to QNA’s mission, vision and institutional values, in addition to informing them about the organizational structure and the functions of the various departments, which contributes to strengthening institutional belonging and raising the level of performance from the beginning of their careers.
He added that the program is the launch of the QNA training season, which includes a package of specialized training and qualification programs designed to develop the professional and media skills of employees from within the agency to keep pace with the rapid changes in journalistic and news work.
His Excellency pointed out that QNA attaches great importance to continuous training, as it is one of the basic pillars for improving the quality of performance and achieving institutional excellence, which enhances QNA’s role as a reliable source of news at the local and international levels.
QNA's training programs aim to qualifying national media personnel according to the highest professional standards through specialized training programs held in the QNA training halls equipped with the latest technologies, launched in 2023 to be an integrated platform for building media capabilities and keeping pace with global developments in the field of modern media.
