The Department of Meteorology has warned of expected thundery rain accompanied by strong winds in some inshore areas, as well as thundery rain, strong winds, and high seas offshore.According to the department's daily weather report, inshore conditions until 6:00 pm on Tuesday will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with scattered rain that may be thundery in some areas. Offshore conditions will be similar, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and scattered rain, which may be thundery at times.
Inshore winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 8 to 18 knots, gusting up to 35 knots during thundery rain, and later shifting to southeasterly. Offshore winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 12 to 22 knots, gusting up to 35 knots with thundery rain, before shifting to southeasterly.
Sea conditions inshore will range between 2 and 4 feet, rising to 5 feet during thundery rain. Offshore, seas will range from 3 to 7 feet, increasing to up to 10 feet with thundery rain.Visibility both inshore and offshore is expected to range between 4 and 9 km, dropping to 3 km or less during thundery rain.
