The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) employees and affiliates celebrated Qatar National Day at PHCC headquarters, where the values of belonging, loyalty and love for the nation were embedded.
The celebration reflected an authentic Qatari spirit that conveyed the deep meanings of this cherished day for everyone. It witnessed broad engagement from PHCC employees, who expressed their pride and honour in this national occasion that reminds all of the journey of establishment, development and unity that began during the era of the founder and of the nation’s progress and advancement achieved under the wide leadership.
The event included several heritage-themed segments, including a video about Qatar’s past, highlighting traditional clothing, crafts and trades practised by the forefathers. These scenes took the attendees back to a time of simplicity and authenticity. Among the most popular stations were the traditional Qatari food booth and the henna corner, both reflecting important aspects of Qatari identity.
The highlight of the event was the traditional Qatari clothing exhibition, which showcased a variety of garments for men, women and children, such as the bisht, ghutra, agal, gahfiya, abaya, thobe alnashel, daraa, bukhnaq, and the traditional men’s thobe, adding a complete aesthetic touch to the celebration, especially with children participating in their traditional outfits.
Attendees also enjoyed the traditional games corner, featuring games such as Dama and Carrom, which form a memorable part of the community’s heritage. There was also a “Traditional Shop” corner displaying old products once sold in the past, stirring nostalgia among everyone, along with a traditional coffee station offering local foods and beverages.
The event concluded in an atmosphere filled with pride and joy, with heartfelt expressions from employees, both citizens and residents, who were keen to wear traditional attire and everything symbolising this special occasion, reflecting their sense of belonging to this beloved country, and their pride in its past, present and future.
