The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its establishment, marking a journey of achievement in supporting projects and programmes that contribute to enhancing social, sports and cultural development in the State of Qatar.DAAM was founded pursuant to Amiri Decision No. (44) of 2010, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and with the aim of promoting sustainable community development.Throughout its journey, DAAM has contributed to the financing and implementation of several strategic projects across education, health, sports, social development and multi-purpose infrastructure, thereby enhancing quality of life and helping to empower citizens and beneficiaries of development, health and education services.Over the past years, DAAM has also supported a range of flagship initiatives aligned with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, most notably programmes that promote social innovation, empower social entrepreneurs, and support auxiliary services for persons with disabilities. This is in addition to initiatives designed to improve quality of life by encouraging participation in sports and community activities and supporting productive families.In the current year, the Fund has continued to play its role in supporting cultural, developmental and community projects in partnership with a number of national institutions, by financing prominent programmes and activities in the areas of family production, youth capacity-building, health, awareness, heritage, cultural and sports activities. These include: the Organising Committee for the National Day Celebrations, DAAM Specialized Care Center, Al-Sullam School, the Museum of Islamic Art, and other institutions and organizations that contribute to society development.On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) Abdulrahman bin Abdul Latif Al Manaei, affirmed that the fifteenth anniversary of DAAM represents an important milestone in the Fund's journey and a strong incentive to further strengthen partnerships with state institutions and direct resources towards initiatives that achieve a sustainable community impact and are aligned with the National Development Strategy.He added that DAAM will continue to play its role in supporting programmes and projects that contribute to the advancement of the nation and the achievement of social welfare, stressing that the support provided by DAAM is not merely a financial contribution, but an investment in people and in building a more prosperous and cohesive society.It is worth noting that the Fund obtained the ISO 27001 information security certification in July 2025, reinforcing its ongoing efforts to implement international best practices in governance and information management.
