HE Speaker of the Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim, met yesterday with Eduardo Nakayama, member of the Senate of Paraguay and member of the Foreign Affairs and International Relations Committee, and Enrique Salyn Buzarquis, member of the Senate, who are visiting Qatar.
Discussions during the meeting covered on a range of subjects pertaining to advancing parliamentary co-operation between the Shura Council and the Senate of Paraguay.
They likewise deliberated on areas of exchanging legislative expertise and bolstering bilateral communication channels, thereby contributing to the strengthening of relations between the countries. Both sides further discussed avenues for co-ordinating positions in international parliamentary forums, as well as subjects of shared interest as part of parliamentary ties with the Latin American countries.
Chairman of the Internal and External Affairs Committee, Yousef bin Ali al-Khater, Chairman of the Qatari-Paraguayan Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Council, Abdullah bin Jaber al-Libda, and Paraguay ambassador to Qatar, Jose Rafael Aguero Avila, attended the meeting. (QNA)
