Qatar Research, Innovation, and Development (QRDI) Council has successfully concluded its 10th Corporate Innovation Leaders Programme (CILP), a comprehensive four-day training event designed to provide corporate leaders with the essential tools and strategies needed to drive business growth and encourage innovation.
Held in collaboration with Alchemist Accelerator, a renowned global accelerator for corporate startups, the programme took place at Education City Golf Club. Participants included a diverse group of corporate leaders, including executives, strategists, and innovators.
Aysha Abdulhameed al-Mudahka, Senior RDI Programme Director at QRDI Council, said: “The Corporate Innovation Leaders Programme Training aims to equip leaders with the capability to create meaningful change within their organisations. Over four intensive days, our corporate leaders moved from concepts to concrete experiments, identifying high value opportunities, testing assumptions, and building the capabilities needed to scale innovation sustainably.
“As this cohort returns to their organisations, they will now carry new tools and frameworks, and a shared discipline that will accelerate time to value and deliver measurable results for their businesses and for Qatar’s innovation economy.”
Participants engaged in a series of sessions designed to nurture innovative capabilities and address key corporate challenges. The programme covered core themes such as understanding the fundamentals of innovation, identifying and prioritising high-value opportunities, and applying strategic frameworks to build an innovative culture and team within an organisation. Through interactive workshops and collaborative discussions, attendees explore where innovation originates, how to cultivate an innovative mindset, and the principles required to drive meaningful change within organisations.
The programme also included expert-led sessions by Stephanie Melodia, public speaker and entrepreneur, who previously spoke at the 9th CILP training, and Alistair Croll, author and co-founder of Fwd50.
Through the QRDI Council’s Corporate Innovation Leaders Programme, participants benefit from direct access to QRDI Council’s innovation tools and frameworks, case studies on corporate innovation processes, and insights into key initiatives such as QOI.
The programme concludes with the design of each participant’s first innovation experiment, followed by a graduation ceremony and community induction, equipping leaders with the mindset and methods needed to champion innovation across their organisations.
QRDI Council effectively collaborated with 37 Large Local Enterprises in Qatar, including Qatar Airways, Sidra Medicine, Qatar Charity, Qatar Insurance Group, Aspire Zone, Ooredoo, Barzan Holding, KAHRAMAA, Milaha, Aljazeera, Es'hailsat, Alijarah, Baladna, HIA, Meeza, GWC, QAPCO, and HMC.
The Council's growing list of partners demonstrates its dedication to empowering all entities in Qatar to become active players in an ecosystem characterised by innovation.
