DPS Modern Indian School student Nirmit Patel (Grade IX) spent a week in India interning with the National Institute for Women, Child and Youth Development. Inspired by the school’s motto, 'Service Before Self,' he stepped beyond the classroom to understand real community needs, a statement said. During his internship, Nirmit visited government schools, interacted with children from low-income communities, attended a cyber safety session, and engaged with adolescent girls’ groups working on health, awareness and sustainable practices. Each interaction offered him a clearer view of the challenges faced by underprivileged children and the pivotal role of education, care and support.
