The initiative, funded by philanthropists in Qatar, aims to reduce youth unemployment, improve mobility for vulnerable communities, and strengthen environmental services in underserved areas.
In Abéché, 100 unemployed youth received tricycles, while 130 rickshaws were provided to help beneficiaries enter the workforce and generate sustainable income. In N'Djamena, 30 tricycles were handed over to the municipality to support waste collection and improve public hygiene.
The initiative received praise from Chadian authorities for its concrete contribution to local development. Officials highlighted QC’s role in empowering youth and creating sustainable employment opportunities through the distribution of motorcycles and rickshaws.
They also underscored the project’s environmental impact, noting its support for cleaner neighborhoods and reduced pollution—fully aligned with the goals of sustainable urban development.
