Qatar security delegation in Italy to prepare for 2026 Winter Olympics
As part of ongoing preparations for the participation of the Qatari security force — comprising the Ministry of Interior and the Internal Security Force “Lekhwiya” — in securing the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, a delegation led by Colonel Al-Rakn Masoud Jamaan Al-Qahtani, Deputy Commander of the Qatari security force for the Olympics, conducted an official visit to the Italian Republic.
The visit included coordination meetings and field tours with several security entities from the Italian Ministry of Interior and the Carabinieri, aimed at enhancing cooperation and readiness to jointly secure this major global sporting event.
Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration and ensuring the operational preparedness of the Qatari security force ahead of its mission during the 2026 Winter Olympics.
