The Shura Council on Tuesday elected His Excellency Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim as Speaker of the Shura Council for the second legislative term by acclamation.
The Council also elected His Excellency Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti as Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council by acclamation.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Tuesday morning patronized the opening of the first ordinary session of the second legislative term, corresponding to the 54th annual session of the Shura Council.
