The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's Department of Chemicals and Hazardous Waste has carried out a comprehensive inspection campaign targeting companies that import ozone-depleting gases under the quota system adopted within the Montreal Protocol.

The campaign covered 15 companies, and the inspection results showed that 13 companies, representing 86%, complied with the approved environmental requirements. However, one company was found to be in violation, with only 6% compliance, while another was directed by the department to rectify its status.

The campaign is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance environmental control and ensure compliance with regulations, in support of its mission to reduce emissions and achieve sustainability goals.
