The event was attended by Spanish ambassador Alvaro Renedo Zalba, in addition to a number of ambassadors and diplomats from various countries, as well as enthusiasts of this art form from Qatar and beyond.
The envoy expressed his joy in holding this event, stating that flamenco is not simply an artistic performance but a cultural expression that reflects Spain's ever-changing spirit.
Zalba added that such events strengthen bridges of communication between people and deepen personal, cultural and historical ties between Qatar and Spain.
Garrido's performance embodied the history of flamenco that emerged in southern Spain (Andalusia) and became a cultural symbol and showcased how the art form has a universal language that crosses geographical lines.
*Flamenca marks the latest international event organised by Katara, further establishing itself as a leading cultural and artistic platform in the region and the world.
