The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's Department of Wildlife Protection has carried out several cleanup campaigns in various desert areas, resulting in the collection and removal of around 25 tonnes of waste.
A part of the 'Cleanup and Rawdat Campaigns' project, the initiative aims to preserve desert areas and support environmental sustainability efforts by promoting environmental awareness and reducing harmful practices in those regions.
The ministry urged all visitors to desert and rawdat (meadow) areas to maintain cleanliness, refrain from leaving waste behind, and dispose of it in designated places to protect the natural environment.
