The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Winter Camping Affairs Committee has announced that the number of registered camps in the southern region reached around 1,500 camps during the period from October 5 to 9.

These camps are distributed across Al Niqyan, Al Kharrara, and Mekaines in the desert areas, in addition to the Sealine and Khor Al-Adaid areas within the natural reserves.

The ministry confirmed that the registration process proceeded smoothly and efficiently through the ministry’s website and the “Bee'ah” (Environment) mobile application, following the recent upgrade of the electronic winter camping system. This upgrade enabled users to complete registration procedures and reserve campsites with ease.

It further noted that registration for available sites will reopen on October 15, urging everyone to adhere to the approved environmental regulations and organizational procedures to ensure a safe and sustainable camping season.
