The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has announced that the number of registered camps in the central region between October 1 and 4 reached around 350 camps, covering desert areas, coastal zones, and protected reserves.
The Ministry explained that the registered sites in the central region included desert areas such as Rawdat Rashid, Rawdat Aisha, and the Umm Al-Ezam Road, in addition to coastal areas such as South Al Kharayej and Abu Samra, as well as protected areas in the coastal region of Zekreet. The Ministry noted that the registration process proceeded smoothly in accordance with approved organizational and environmental procedures.
Besides, the Winter Camping Affairs Committee is receiving registration applications for camping sites in the southern regions until Wednesday, October 8, 2025. These areas include Al-Naqiyan, Al-Kharara, and Mekaines in the desert areas, as well as Sealine and Al-Udeid within the protected reserves.
The Ministry confirmed that registration for the remaining available sites will reopen from October 15 to November 15. It also called on all campers to adhere to the approved environmental regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe and sustainable camping season.
