On October 6, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change announced the seizure of more than 800 illegal bird-attracting devices (Al-Sawaya) during a wide-ranging inspection campaign conducted across the country in collaboration with the Environmental Security Forces (Lekhwiya).
This campaign forms part of the ministry’s continuous efforts to protect wildlife, preserve biodiversity, and enhance environmental monitoring and law enforcement. Legal measures have been initiated against those found in violation of Law No. (4) of 2022 on Environmental Protection.
The ministry called on the public to adhere strictly to hunting regulations and refrain from using prohibited tools or practices, reaffirming that any breach of environmental laws will face firm legal consequences.
