The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in co-operation with Al Abdulghani Motors, has announced the recall of Lexus 700 Hybrid, and Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid, 2025 model, over a possible defect in engine ECU programming which will cause the engine warning light to illuminate and the vehicle to enter the failsafe driving mode in which the vehicle can still be driven with limited power and speed approximately 60km/h.

The ministry, in co-operation with National Car Company, announced the recall of Mazda MX5, 2023-2025 models, as traction control light may illuminate sometimes in the cluster due to control unit programming error.

The ministry, in co-operation with Teyseer Motors Co., also announced the recall of Peugeot 3008, 2025 model, as there is a possibility of contact between the low-pressure fuel pipe and the ignition coil screw, which may lead to damage of the fuel pipe over time and thus cause a fuel leak.

The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The ministry said it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

The ministry urges all consumers to report any violations or breaches by contacting the Consumer Protection and Combating Commercial Fraud Department, which receives complaints, suggestions, and inquiries through the following communication channels: Call Centre: 16001, e-mail: [email protected], ministry’s accounts on social media: @mociqatar, ministry’s Mobile App: MOCIQATAR (available on iOS and Android devices)
