Italian ambassador Paolo Toschi (pictured) said that his country welcomes Qatar's commitment to international law, diplomacy, and mediation efforts, which continue to play a crucial role in fostering dialogue and preventing further escalation in the region. "What happened on Sept 9 is unacceptable."
He said: "In Gaza, we need a ceasefire, the liberation of all hostages and full access to humanitarian aid. Italy reaffirms that the principles of international law, the protection of civilians, and the pursuit of a two-state solution must remain at the core of all international initiatives on Palestine."
