Chiyoda Almana Engineering, a leading local player in the oil and gas engineering sector, completed its annual summer internship programme, after accommodating university students from various academic institutions across Qatar.

The two-month programme forms a key part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, aimed at empowering the next generation of engineers and energy professionals, a statement said.

This year’s intake brought together students from diverse nationalities and disciplines, reflecting the multicultural landscape of Qatar’s academic and professional community. The interns gained hands-on exposure to the oil and gas engineering industry, working alongside seasoned professionals on live projects, and receiving mentorship tailored to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

Seiichiro Togashi, managing director of Chiyoda Almana said: "We believe in investing in youth and supporting the sustainable development of human capital in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. Our summer internship programme not only provides students with practical industry experience but also reinforces our commitment to fostering diversity, innovation, and knowledge-sharing within the energy sector."

The programme is designed to cover multiple areas of engineering, project management, health, safety & quality, and sustainability practices, ensuring that students are exposed to the company’s holistic approach to delivering world-class energy solutions. Beyond technical training, the internship emphasises the development of soft skills, teamwork, and professional ethics, equipping students with the tools to excel in their future careers.
