In co-operation between the Embassy of Qatar in Syria and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), food and non-food aid has been distributed to 400 families moved from Sweida Governorate to Daraa Governorate.
Distributed in co-ordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Society (SARCS) and Syria’s Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, this assistance was part of Qatar’s humanitarian efforts to support the people of Syria.
Food parcels and hygiene kits were delivered to beneficiaries in three locations of Daraa used as shelter centres for displaced and affected families, in co-ordination with SARCS and the competent local authorities.
Qatar is pursuing its ongoing humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the affected Syrian people, as well as its non-stop humanitarian and relief contributions for various affected groups.
Such initiatives also reflect the commitment of Qatari government and NGOs to enhancing the country’s humanitarian and relief role in the region and stepping up emergency response efforts, inspired by longstanding principles of humanitarian solidarity and provision of aid for those in need.
