M7 continues its September programming with a compelling lineup of inspiring and educational events, including an art exhibition, a sustainability showcase, and a series of engaging workshops.
Throughout the month, M7 will offer diverse experiences for art lovers, budding designers, and those interested in environmental innovation.
From September 7 to 20, Qatar Reads, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, will present the “Fables in Fashion” exhibition. This unique event promises to immerse visitors in a world where classic tales and contemporary style converge.
Attendees will journey through the narratives of Magamat Al-Hariri, brought to life through striking artwork and avant-garde fashion, creating an unforgettable celebration of culture and creativity. The exhibition’s hours are Sunday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm, and Friday and Saturday, 4pm to 9pm.
M7 is also organising a variety of workshops throughout September to foster skill development and creative expression. On September 20, families and individuals can engage in the “Creative Letter and Postcard” workshop from 11.30am to 1pm in the Learning Space on Floor 1, where they can design and personalise their own postcards.
Also on September 20, adults can discover the tactile art of textile creation in the “Felting Techniques” workshop, held from 12pm to 6pm in The Cutting Studio on the ground floor, exploring both wet and needle felting methods.
For younger aspiring artists, a “Drawing Mannequin: Foundations Like a Pro” workshop tailoured for ages 7 to 12 will be held on September 27. This Arabic-language session will guide participants through the fundamentals of fashion illustration, focusing on correct proportions and dynamic poses.
Concluding the month, a comprehensive “Fashion Design for Beginners” workshop, a collaboration with Scale 7, will offer adults insights into garment creation. On September 30, the workshop will be split into two sessions: the first, focusing on industry overview and manufacturer sourcing, will take place at Scale 7 on Floor 2, while the second, covering practical materials and production house selection, will be held at The Cutting Studio on the ground floor.
M7 also hosted Thailand’s Innovative Upcycling for Everyday Life exhibition from September 8-14, adding a strong focus on environmental responsibility. This show, stemming from Thailand’s participation in the Earthna Summit 2025, highlighted the human-centred approach to sustainability. Showcasing modern technology, local wisdom, and environmental consciousness, the display featured innovative products made from recycled materials such as plastic, agricultural by-products, marine debris, and industrial waste.
The exhibition explored a range of eco-textiles, biodegradable packaging, and artisanal homeware, demonstrating practical and enduring development.
