The Ministry of Interior Tuesday announced the martyrdom of a member of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) as a result of the Israeli attack on residential headquarters in Doha housing several members of the political bureau of Hamas.
In a statement issued, the ministry said that Lance Corporal Badr Saad Mohammed Al Humaidi Al Dosari was martyred while carrying out his duties at the targeted site, in addition to a number of other security personnel sustaining various injuries.
The statement confirmed that the competent authorities continue to sweep and secure the targeted area through the Explosives Unit of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), implementing field procedures in accordance with approved plans for dealing with such incidents, in order to contain and manage the situation with high efficiency.
The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), affirmed that it is closely monitoring developments and taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens and residents, which remains a top priority.
The ministry urged everyone to obtain information only from official, reliable channels and to avoid rumors, noting that further details will be announced once they become available.
