Al Wakra Municipality's Maintenance and Demolition Team in coordination with the Mechanical Equipment Department carried out the demolition of three dilapidated and unsafe buildings so far this month. This was based on the demolition decisions issued by the Committee for the Maintenance and Demolition of Buildings at the Ministry of Municipality, in accordance with Law No 29 of 2006 on Building Control. The Inspection Department of Al Wakra Municipality has continued its campaigns to combat the phenomenon of partitioning buildings and using them as workers’ housing in areas designated for families. Several violating accommodations have been evacuated, with emphasis on the need to comply with the governing laws to avoid penalties and to safeguard the security and safety of residents.
