US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed today burden sharing and fair trade with his South Korean counterpart Cho Hyun, ahead of a planned summit between the two countries next week.

During the meeting, the two ministers also discussed ways to strengthen the alliance between the two countries through a forward-looking agenda focused on enhancing deterrence in the Indo-Pacific region, increasing collective burden-sharing, contributing to the revitalization of the American manufacturing sector, and restoring fairness and equality in trade relations.
