Al Shamal Municipality's Health Control Section of the Municipal Control Department carried out 710 field inspection tours during July on food establishments across its jurisdiction.

The veterinary team supervised the slaughter of 207 animals (sheep, camels, and cattle) in local slaughterhouses. During these operations, 68kg of meat that did not meet health and safety standards were destroyed.

A total of 71,690kg of fish were inspected, resulting in the disposal of 243kg of fish deemed unfit for human consumption. The section also handled a number of complaints that were addressed immediately, in addition to sending food samples to the central laboratory to ensure their safety and quality.

In the field of public cleanliness, the General Control Section carried out 316 periodic inspection campaigns on abandoned vehicles and equipment. These campaigns resulted in placing 82 warning stickers on abandoned for their owners to remove them.

The Cleaning Section of the Services Affairs Department conducted 67 campaigns to combat insects and rodents, in addition to spraying 5,802 waste containers within the administrative boundaries of Al Shamal city.

The Real Estate Lease Contracts Office registered 53 contracts during the month, while the Development and Building Permits Section issued 10 new building permits, indicating the ongoing urban development in the city.
