Al Rayyan Municipality's Cleaning Section of the Services Affairs Department organised an educational and awareness workshop at Al Luqta Park as part of the 'My City is Sustainable' initiative, to familiarise students with the efforts made by the Ministry of Municipality to combat flies and mosquitoes.
The event featured simple interactive activities and easy-to-understand explanations about sources of stagnant water and their role in the breeding of mosquitoes and flies. There were educational games on how to prevent mosquito infestations, the importance of practicing general hygiene, conserving water, and safely disposing of waste and stagnant liquids.
Visual presentations and awareness materials featuring illustrations were provided to encourage adherence to health and environmental guidelines.
