The death toll from the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 61,599 martyrs, in addition to 154,088 wounded.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said that ambulances, civil defense teams, and citizens transported 100 martyrs (including 11 martyrs whose bodies were recovered) and 513 injured people to hospitals in the Strip during the past 24 hours.

It noted that the death toll and injuries recorded since the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement on March 18 had risen to 10,078 martyrs and 42,047 injured.

It also said that the death toll among aid seekers had increased by 31 martyrs, in addition to 388 injured in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,743 martyrs and 13,409 injured.

These developments on the ground come amid a worsening famine in Gaza, and international calls for the occupation to open the Strip's crossings to allow humanitarian aid to reach the population.
